This session will be a moderated discussion of current issues in amplification spanning the range of selection, fitting, verification, practice management, reimbursement, state and national guidelines, and current and impending disruptions to this part of audiology practice. Come to this session ready to discuss your views based on your activity in the field of audiology. Clinicians, researchers, students, industry partners are all welcome and provide important perspectives on these topics.

Learning Objectives:

Discuss current and impending disruptions including the opportunities that may be afforded to the traditional provision of amplification by audiologists.
Compare and contrast disparate views discussed in this session related to what audiologists uniquely bring to the process of hearing aid selection, fitting, and delivery.
List two areas of amplification delivery that you will review in your practice based on the discussion.
