Max Blümer studied Hearing Technology and Audiology (Master of Science) at Carl con Ossietzky Univerity of Oldenburg and graduated in December 2020. In his Master Thesis "Neurophysiological Correlates in Listening Fatigue", he evaluated neurophysiological, behavioural and subjective data to examine the effect of hearing aid provision on listening effort and fatigue. He is now with the Cochlea Implant (CI) Team at University Medical Center Hamburg Eppendorf, working in CI provision. His current research activities are neurophysiological measurements with bilateral as well as single sided deaf CI patients (evoked response audiometry, EEG), sound source localization and listening effort and fatigue with CI and hearing aids.
