Celeste Watson is a graduate student pursuing her AuD at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Her research interests include speech perception, listening effort, and tinnitus. She has contributed to the research of her advisor and mentor, Dr. Samuel R. Atcherson, in the area of determining the efficacy of transparent facemasks on improving speech perception in noise. For her capstone research project, she is assessing the readability of frequently used patient report measures for assessing tinnitus as well as applying the recently developed Evaluative Linguistic Framework for Questionnaires (ELF-Q) to these measures.
