As Associate Dean for Clinical Education, Dr. Owen oversees clinical education in one of the country's largest Au.D programs. Dr. Owen served as the Chair of the Pennsylvania Board of Examiners and Vice-President of Education for the Pennsylvania Academy of Audiology. Currently, she is President-Elect for the Pennsylvania Academy of Audiology. She served as a working group subject matter expert in developing the CH-AP preceptor training program currently offered by the American Board of Audiology. Dr. Owen serves as a member of the Guidelines and Strategic Documents Committee for the American Academy of Audiology
Dr. Owen obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Speech Pathology & Audiology from Loyola College, Maryland, a Master of Science in Audiology from Towson State University, and her doctorate in Audiology from Salus University. Dr. Owen is a member of the Audiology Honor Society. In 2017 Dr. Owen was inducted as a Distinguished Practitioner and Fellow of the National Academies of Practice. In 2021 Dr. Owen was recognized as the Alumna of the Year for the Osborne College of Audiology.
