Adam Sheppard is a clinician-scientist, he received his Au.D. in 2016 and his Ph.D. in 2018, both from SUNY at Buffalo. He completed his clinical externship at the National Center for Rehabilitative Auditory Research (NCRAR) and worked as a clinical audiologist prior to starting his academic position. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communicative Disorders and Sciences and a member of the Center for Hearing and Deafness. His research focuses on improving clinical outcomes through testing novel methods to identify and manage complex auditory disorders. He is also interested in improving the prevention of noise-, drug-, and age-related hearing loss. Dr. Sheppard's research has been funded by the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD) and the American Academy of Audiology Foundation.
