Abstract: This mini module will discuss cochlear implantation in the case of unilateral sensorineural hearing loss and the use of a CI to aid in the management of debilitating tinnitus. Current literature regarding cochlear implantation and tinnitus management will be reviewed. A case study of a patient with unilateral hearing loss and tinnitus who was managed with a cochlear implant will be discussed.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion, participants will be able to improve their understanding of post-operative cochlear implant outcomes for patients with unilateral hearing loss and tinnitus.
