Abstract: One effective treatment option for individuals with unaidable hearing loss in one ear is a contralateral routing of signal (CROS) or bilateral contralateral routing of signal (BiCROS) system. A systematic review of relevant literature is presented to examine the benefits and limitations of CROS/BiCROS systems and highlight important clinical implications, as well as areas of opportunity for future research.

Learning Objectives:

Learners will be able to describe the primary benefits and limitations CROS/BiCROS systems reported in the literature over the past 10 years, and understand the clinical implications of research findings.
