Abstract: Following the COVID-19 pandemic, a significant increase in use of Telehealth occurred due to improved technology, public opinion, reimbursement, legal changes, and patient demand. However, audiology continues to fall far behind other healthcare disciplines when it comes to offering Telehealth options. In this presentation, the reasons audiologists and their patients may be reluctant to offer tele-audiology services is explored in detail. We will examine why and when tele-audiology should be offered and best practices to incorporate this delivery model into an audiology practice.
