Abstract: Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy (VRT) is recognized as the gold standard in the non-medical management of patients with chronic symptoms of dizziness and vertigo. Thousands of patients each year are referred for VRT. Most of these patients, however, will undergo no prior neurodiagnostic vestibular evaluation from which to judge what is their actual functional impairment. This presentation will highlight how the use of advanced vestibular testing e.g., Video-Head Impulse Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potentials (vHIT), VEMP, Rotary Chair, Postural Stability tests are utilized in the implementation of Diagnosis Based VRT Strategies and protocols to produce the best outcomes.
