Abstract: M&RIE (Microphone and Receiver in Ear) is an innovative concept that gives hearing aid users the benefit of utilizing their own unique pinna cues and is available as an option for the ReSound ONE hearing aid. M&RIE has demonstrated a variety of advantages for users including less wind noise annoyance, improvements in localization, reduced listening effort in noise, and better sound quality ratings related to naturalness, clarity and spatial perception. This update will discuss research results for the M&RIE along with candidacy and fitting guidelines.
