This lounge will feature a discussion of current topics in pediatrics that often lead to burning questions. This lounge will include conversations on the following questions: • What are the current best practices for managing infants and children with minimal hearing loss?
• What are the current best practices for managing infants and children with SSD? At the end of the session, participants should be able to connect with colleagues from across the country to continue discussion on these topics, and have a list of resources to work from as each facility develops and/or revises their protocols.
Learning Objectives:
Describe what peer-reviewed, best practice documents are available to utilize in developing protocols to manage minimal hearing loss and SSD in infants and children (candidacy as well as verification/validation).
Identify one way that practice patterns will be updated to reflect current best practices for managing minimal hearing loss and SSD in infants and children.
Identify a gap in current practices for managing minimal hearing loss and SSD for the pediatric population.
