Benjamin Motz, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at Indiana University. His research bridges the gap dividing theoretical research on the science of human learning from learning in practice, by developing tools and advanced quantitative methods for experimentally examining student learning and behavior in education settings. In particular, Dr. Motz is the creator of Terracotta, a plugin which enables rigorous and responsible experimental research in learning management system course sites.
