Program Abstract: Have you experienced the excitement of guiding students through meaningful projects in your courses? Are you using project-based learning (PBL) to set your STEM undergraduate programs apart from other colleges and universities? Are you interested in how some colleges and universities go from a handful of courses that use PBL to a more coordinated, more widespread adoption across entire programs, departments, or even institutions? The Center for Project-Based Learning is investing in a research program to better understand the institutional change involved to advance PBL in STEM undergraduate education. Join us for an ideation session where we will consider what it would take to support a national PBL field scan, explore lines of PBL inquiry, and connect with others interested in future PBL research opportunities.
