Lynne Lawson, Ph.D., has been an assistant professor in the Engineering and Physics department at Providence College for over 25 years. During her career, she has been a leader in using more effective pedagogical approaches to teaching, including just in time teaching, active learning, and flipped classrooms. In more recent years, she has been heavily involved in efforts on campus to improve diversity and retention in STEM and promoting a culture of inclusiveness both in STEM and across campus. She is currently the Program Director for her campus's HHMI IE3 pilot grant work.
