Oftentimes wound care professionals are faced with a patient who may benefit from revascularization of the lower extremity. However, various questions emerge post-revascularization, question becomes how good their perfusion to the wound is. First and foremost, what type of revascularization should be known and what the expectation of real oxygen delivery to the tissue should be discussed. Next steps may include obtaining tissue oxygenation studies and skin perfusion pressures. This session will empower the wound care specialist, to know the questions to ask and to obtain the tests to understand how their patient is going to heal.
