In our growing multicultural society, healthcare professionals encounter different cultural practices and spiritual beliefs that have a powerful influence on their patients and their reaction to care. For example, within wound care, there are advanced technologies composed of elements that may conflict with patients' religious ideology or ethical mores. This session will examine religious and cultural beliefs that clinicians should be aware of when developing patient centered wound care.
