Session Description: This session will introduce participants to CDC’s wide variety of policy, communication, program, and data tools and resources that support population-based oral health efforts. Topics include but are not limited to community water fluoridation, infection prevention and control in dental healthcare settings, COVID-19 guidance, and oral health resources for maternity and pediatric clinical care settings. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss how these resources have and can be used in public health, clinical, and community settings. Participants will hear how the Protect Tiny Teeth toolkits have been utilized in maternity care settings. Finally, participants will identify opportunities for new CDC resources that will assist oral health programs in improving public health in their communities.
Learning Objectives:
Increase awareness of available resources on multiple topics that promote good oral health.
Brainstorm new and creative ideas for how to maximize use of these free resources.
Understand the experience of maternity care clinics who used the Protect Tiny Teeth materials.
