Session Description: The PA Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics presents early results from focus groups with diverse stakeholders illuminating best practices for including oral health preventive measures in Pediatric “non-dental” telehealth visits. Input from the focus groups will be filtered through their consultants and Advisory Team to delineate final best practices. Several diverse medical practices will pilot and revise the best practices and participate with the Advisory Team in a Virtual Learning Collaborative. An expanded Learning Collaborative will refine the best practices. CPT code(s) with RVUs applicable to all age groups for ALL medical/surgical/behavioral health virtual visits –preventive, sick, and follow-up will be sought. Policy supporting the best practices will be proposed including Bright Futures and the US Preventive Services Task Force to assure payment and sustainability of oral health integration in the “non-dental” telehealth setting. Input from the attendees will be welcomed following the presentation.
