This presentation will describe the collaborative relationship between the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Oral Health Program and the Detroit Public School Community District. Placing an Oral Health Coordinator into the large school district has established a unique connection between parents, school nurses and oral health providers, and will assist students receiving school-based oral health services with receiving full comprehensive oral health care while upholding the CDC Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child (WSCC) Model.
