At the Oral Health Forum (OHF), we strive to eliminate barriers to healthcare access and educate students throughout the Chicagoland area on the importance of oral hygiene. While the COVID-19 pandemic presented obstacles that challenged our ability to deliver our in-person educational curriculum to school students, we remained committed towards bringing oral health education to all. Quickly transferring to remote learning, we continued to educate students through live virtual sessions on Zoom and Google Classroom. Despite the difficulties of the pandemic, posttest results highlighted the same level of educational success as in-person leaning sessions and encouraged us to further our online education programs. We developed our educational website, Total Tooth Truth, to fulfill this goal. Featuring our redesigned online-curriculum and engaging, grade specific videos, Total Tooth Truth continued to deliver comprehensive oral health education to school students and carried on our mission at OHF. Remote learning presented unique opportunities to utilize innovative technology, allowing us to integrate interactive games and graphics into our lesson plan and reach students beyond our Chicago community to as far as Kenya. Since its inception, Total Tooth Truth and our oral healthcare curriculum have reached students in all 6 main continents around the world. Although we have slowly resumed our in-person education sessions around Chicago, we continue to promote our virtual educational website and sessions to expand access to vital oral health education to areas with limited resources. We would like to show how virtual education can be done in remote areas of the states.
