Change processes require a common view of education, society, and the environment to bring about a sustainable socio-ecological transformation. This workshop will present a project that creates learning occasions for students to think in alternatives, develop problem-solving strategies, and identify individual and collective scopes for action. Students develop "projects of change" using appropriate methods and reflect on them regarding transformative learning. The project is at the beginning stages, and the presentation will show initial considerations and wants in a discussion of how a participatory research design can be designed, based on questioning subjective theories and beliefs of student teachers regarding a culture of democracy.
