Ali Akherati

Ali Akherati is an experienced researcher and consultant in aerosol science, emissions, air pollution and atmospheric modeling. He is greatly interested in understanding the sources and evolution of air quality from micro to regional and global scales. He is an avid programmer and always curious about new tools and developments for better understanding and effective communication of science, problems and engineering solutions. He has received his PhD and ME in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Atmospheric Chemistry from Colorado State University and his BS in Chemical Engineering from Amirkabir University (Tehran Polytechnic). He has finished his postdoc at Unversity of California, Davis. He is currently a senior consultant at Ramboll and lead scientist at Ramboll-Shair.

Besides work, Ali is a passionate swimmer, cyclist, and photographer. He always finds an excuse to get out and explore the world during his free time.
