Michael is a Technical Leader for Sustainability Services Technical Practice Group in the Americas at AECOM. AECOM’s Sustainability Services initiative is comprised of technical professionals across the company supporting clients with diverse service needs. Michael’s technical and policy expertise is in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions inventories, science based targets, climate change mitigation strategies, carbon markets, and integrated sustainable solutions. At AECOM, Michael’s support has included tangible outcomes in annual reduction of direct GHG emissions from existing operations as well as zero emissions planning for new developments and establishment of strategies toward net-zero. He has guided numerous clients through regulatory requirments related to carbon and climate change as well as works with organizations interested in voluntarily lowering their GHG emissions, science based targets, targeting carbon neutrality, and procuring GHG offsets.
