Jeremy Smith, PhD is a Staff Air Pollution Specialist within the Monitoring and Laboratory Division at California Air Resources Board. At the Air Resources Board he primarily works on Community Air Monitoring as part of AB 617 and also conducts special community monitoring projects. While at the Air Resources Board he has also conducted in-use and laboratory measurements of heavy-duty vehicle emissions, high emitting vehicle identification, ambient air monitoring, and implementation of novel air monitoring technologies. Jeremy’s past work includes the study of secondary organic aerosol production in clouds and fog at the University of California Davis, reactive oxidant production within rain and ocean waters at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, and deep ocean trace isotopic analysis at the University of South Carolina.
