Dr. Gaige Kerr is a research scientist in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health in the School of Public Health at George Washington University. He received his BSc with honors in Atmospheric Science from Cornell University and his MA and PhD in Earth and Planetary Sciences from Johns Hopkins University. In his research Dr. Kerr uses big data from atmospheric models and satellites to understand the role of meteorology and emissions on ambient air quality and disparities in air pollution and associated disease burdens. He currently serves on several boards and committees for the American Meteorological Society and previously was an Air Quality Fellow for the U.S Department of State’s Greening Diplomacy Initiative.
