Dr. R. Ryan Dupont is a Cazier Endowed Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Utah State University. He received his PhD from the University of Kansas in Environmental Health Engineering in 1982, the year he started as a faculty member at Utah State University and Research Associate at the Utah Water Research Laboratory in Logan Utah. Over his 40 year career he has conducted applied research in the soil and groundwater remediation area, focusing on biological process monitoring, field system evaluation, and performance monitoring. He teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in Solid and Hazardous Waste Management, Wastewater Engineering, Pollution Prevention, Human Health and Hazard Risk Management, and Environmental Microbiology. HIS recent research focus has been on Green Infrastructure and hazards and risks associated with emerging contaminants in wastewater and biosolids reuse.
