Dr. H. Paul Wang is a Chair Professor of Environmental Engineering Department, National Cheng Kung University. He is highly passionate in developing new photoelectrocatalysis methods to advance energy-efficient engineering for waste and water recycling and reuse in a circular economy manner. His integral experiences across nanotechnology, green energy, and incineration/gasification/pyrolysis engineering in academic research and industry testified his enthusiasm and strong determination in research to advance promising applications. His research and development work has extended to new findings such as solar-driven CO2 and H2O-to-H2O2 fuel cells, thin vapor chamber (via nano-capillary pump loop) for heat dissipation of photoelectric devices, and recycling of chlorofluorocarbon wastes to diamond. Currently, he is working to scale up the novel processes (fluidized capacitive deionization) for seawater mining to capture lithium and desalination for freshwater.
