Senior Engineer

Dr Soheil Sajjadi is a senior transportation engineer at Arcadis. He is currently contributing to the mobility business development of Arcadis in various aspects such as multi-modal modelling, multi-resolution modelling, microsimulation, computational engine development, highway capacity method, and safety studies. He has recently led the engineering task on multiple traffic modelling projects in the states of Georgia, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, and Michigan. He currently lives in Charlotte, NC, has over 12 years of experience in transportation academia and industry and worked on multiple local and national projects.
Dr Sajjadi is also interested in research and has published more than 30 peer-reviewed journal papers, conference proceedings, and professional reports. His research interests are traffic flow theory, multi-resolution modelling, and highway capacity method. Before joining Arcadis as a consultant, he was the lead trainer and technical support manager of PTV Group in North America. In this role, he conducted advanced workshops/training on traffic and transportation modelling for more than twenty state DOTs and other accredited public agencies such as Volpe National Center. He got a unique perspective of the transportation industry for nearly three years. Soheil has been active on the Transportation Research Board committees of Highway Capacity and Quality of Service (HCQS-ACP40), where he is the Connected and Automated Vehicle (CAV) Group Lead and the Simulation Committee (ACP80).
