Stephen Zemba is a Project Director with Sanborn Head & Associates.Steve has more than three decades of experience assessing risks of environmental chemicals. His projects include fate‐and‐transport modeling, exposure assessment, and both human health and ecological risk assessments. Steve also teaches university‐level courses on air quality management and air pollution control. A number of his recent projects have focused on environmental aspects of PFAS, with recent studies designed to measure background levels of PFAS in VT soils and to identify PFAS in wastes accepted by a municipal landfill.
Steve holds a B.S. from Carnegie-Mellon University, and an M.S. and a Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, all in the field of Mechanical Engineering. He is also a registered professional engineer in Massachusetts.
