Principal Engineer
Minnesota Pollution Control Agency
St Paul, MN
Anne is an engineer in the MPCA’s Air Policy Unit. Her main responsibilities today are focused on implementing federal regulations related to the power generation sector, and is working night and day to keep EPA from disassembling working, if not perfectly fine, air protection programs.
Anne has worked at the MPCA for many, many years. She started in the wastewater treatment plant grant program, then moved to the Air Quality program to write standards for waste incinerators. Because mercury in Minnesota lakes and fish mostly comes from atmospheric deposition, she has been working to reduce mercury emissions for lots of those years.
In her free time, she directs the Lafayette Park Orchestra, volunteer musicians from the MPCA and Department of Natural Resources St Paul offices.
When not directing the band, Anne enjoys her family, Northern Minnesota, and cello lessons!
