Dr. Shin has been appointed as an associate professor in the Department of Chemistry and Environmental Science at CUNY- Medgar Evers College on January 1, 2016. Dr. Shin’s specialty and research areas are developing an analytical method for the trace levels of toxic chemicals including PFAS, PCBs, PAHs, OCPs and trace metals in the water/air/sediment/biota samples. And he is interested in the fate and transport of these anthropogenic chemicals in the urban atmosphere to find out the significant impact on regional air quality, coastal ecosystem, and public health. And he is also interested in the source of pollutants to indoor air and their contribution to personal exposure, green building which is designed to reduce energy consumption and is assumed to improve indoor air quality (IAQ).
