Dr. John Koehler is a Senior Engineer with Yorke Engineering LLC based in the San Francisco Bay Area with over 30 years of air quality consulting experience, previous experience with the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), and experience as an academic researcher. He has managed numerous projects in air quality permitting and compliance, human health risk assessment, air pollution control technology, and risk of upset for a wide range of facilities. His other interests include air quality impacts in waste management, organic waste diversion, renewable energy, and climate change. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from UCLA, and Master and Doctorate degrees from the Harvard School of Public Health. He has authored or co-authored 38 technical papers published in peer-reviewed journals or presented at professional conferences. He has been an active member of the Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA) since 1979, has served on the A&WMA Technical Council for more than 20 years, and is a Fellow Member of A&WMA. He is also the current Chair of the A&WMA Golden West Section and the 2020 San Francisco ACE Technical Program Vice Chair.
