A&WMA realizes the value of young professionals (YPs) under the age of 35 to the environmental industry. The Association created the Young Professionals Advisory Council (YPAC) to support the learning and networking opportunities needed to help YPs excel in their careers. The YPAC develops programs and activities to effectively engage YPs, recruits and retains YP members by fostering relationships with employers and A&WMA Sections and Chapters, and assists in the recruitment, retention, and development of YP members to serve in roles within A&WMA and facilitate the integration of student members into the Association upon graduation. Plus, they plan technical and a lot of fun social activities.
