Don P Jason III, MLIS, MS serves as the Health Informationist for the University of Cincinnati’s Donald C. Harrison Health Sciences Library. As a tenured faculty member, Don teaches classes on library databases, clinical data capture tools, and citation management software. He also assists researchers with grant writing, outcomes-based projects, and systematic reviews. Prior to his time at UC, Don completed the National Library of Medicine’s Associate Fellowship Program where he acquired practical skills and applied his academic knowledge in the everyday workforce. Don holds an impressive academic track record. He earned an MS in Health Education from the University of Cincinnati. He earned an MLIS and an MS in Health Informatics from Kent State University. Don also holds a BS in Journalism from Ohio University. His research interests include pedagogy strategies and learning outcomes for clinical care staff as well as diversity, equity, and inclusion in libraries.
