UNE Physician Assistant Program
Dana Villmore, PhD, PA-C is an assistant clinical professor at the University of New England's Physician Assistant program. She completed her BA in Biology at Florida Gulf Coast University, a PhD in Immunology and Microbiology at the University of Florida, and a Masters in PA Studies at MCHPS University in Boston. Dana practiced primary care in the greater Bangor region for over 3 years during which she precepted UNE PA program students for their family medicine rotations. She started as an assistant clinical professor in the UNE PA program in January 2019. She teaches their evidence based medicine, interprofessional geriatrics program, specialty disciplines, and principles of bioscience courses. She also does urgent care at the Intermed onsite clinic for IDEXX located in Westbrook. Her current research interests include inflammation, autoimmunity, and fibromyalgia. She enjoys singing, painting, and exploring Maine with her husband.
