Chris Calkins is a current fourth-year medical student at the Stanford University School of Medicine. He has a background in quality improvement and patient safety, having worked at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement for two years prior to medical school. During his time at Stanford, Chris served as a teaching assistant for multiple medical school courses, led the quality improvement and primary care student groups, and was involved with multiple projects related to the response to COVID-19 pandemic. Chris will begin his residency in internal medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital later this year is currently planning on a career that combines academic primary care practice, health systems improvement work, and medical education.
