Daina Dickman, MA, MLIS, AHIP is the Scholarly Communication Librarian at Sacramento State University, where she also serves as the liaison to the ASL & Deaf Studies Department and the Juvenile Collections specialist. Her research interests include accessibility in library resources and services, critical librarianship in scholarly communication services, and ethical conflict in medical libraries. She is currently a co-PI on an IMLS funded grant examining assessment of scholarly communication services in M1 universities. Previously she managed an institutional repository for a hospital system and was the Library Director and teaching faculty at Birthingway College of Midwifery, a small health sciences college training homebirth midwives, lactation consultants, and doulas in Portland, Oregon.
