Dr. Mark A. Green is graduate of Boston College and Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. He went on to complete his oral and maxillofacial training at the Massachusetts General Hospital where he also achieved his medical degree from Harvard Medical. He spent some time in private practice before returning to Academia at Boston Children's Hospital as full time faculty in the Plastic and Oral Surgery Department. Dr. Green has contributed to multiple book chapters and has published most recently on bone grafting for dental implants in cleft lip and palate patients.
Dr. Green’s clinical interests include orthognathic surgery, temporomandibular joint disorders, pediatric pathology, bone grafting, and dental implants. He works closely with the Cleft and craniofacial teams at Boston Children's Hospital to treatment plan dental implant reconstruction on these patients. He serves as a clinical instructor for Harvard Medical School and the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He also serves as the OMFS residency site director at Boston Children's Hospital for the Massachusetts General Hospital Oral and Maxillofacial surgery program. He is also serves as co-director of education for the department of Plastic and Oral Surgery at Boston Children's Hospital. He has many ongoing research interests including pain management in orthognathic patients, cost effectiveness of telemedicine in oral surgery and clinical outcomes in patients with cleft lip and palate.
