James is originally from Prince Edward Island. He complete his undergraduate BSc at Acadia University in Nova Scotia after which he made his way to Halifax where he completed his DDS at Dalhousie University finishing in 2007. He then completed the GPR program at the University of Western Ontario prior to his return to Halifax to complete the 6 year MD MSc in OMFS at Dalhousie University in 2014. He then traveled to Glasgow Scotland with his wife and 3 children to complete advanced training in trauma, and cleft lip and plate surgery.
James then returned home to Dalhousie and has been fully engaged in a wide scope of practice including Dentoalveolar, Trauma, Orthognathic, Pathology, and TMJ surgery. James if a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentist, he is a member of the Canadian Dental Association, the Canadian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Halifax County Dental Society, and is registered with the General Medial Council in the UK. He is an Assistant Professor in the Dalhousie OMFS department.
