Michael Taylor is an instructor of nursing and believes in the value of developing meaningful connections to support the development of nursing knowledge and skill, and the importance of relationship-rich education to make the college experience a transformative one. Taylor is a graduate of the Joliet Junior College Nursing Program, completed his Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at Governors State University, and through Regis University, completed a Masters of Science, Nursing degree, and Graduate Certificate in Nursing Education.
Taylor is specialty certified in Emergency and Medical-Surgical Nursing and has served in hospital leadership, supporting the activities of ortho-surgical and medical-surgical units. Taylor has served on multiple committees and councils supporting innovation, safety, and effectiveness in care practices, and has served as a high-reliability trainer, educating health system associates on enhancing situational awareness and cultivating a culture of safety.
