National Program Director
NEPIN
Tina Lear is the National Program Director of NEPIN, the National Education Progression in Nursing Collaborative. NEPIN continues the work of APIN to advance nurses to higher degrees by serving as a national leader for key stakeholders to build alliances to accelerate progression; creating a comprehensive national resource; identifying and disseminating consistent data collection and metrics; creating successful communication strategies to further education progression; and expanding alliances strategically. Tina holds a BS in Education and a Master of Health Administration with an emphasis in Informatics. She is the immediate past and founding Executive Director of the Missouri Center for Nursing. She has previously worked in economic statistics, the insurance industry, government sponsored health programs, provider recruitment, and health IT. She is certified in Project Management Essentials, Designing Programs for Results, Trauma Informed Care, and Compassion Without Fatigue. Tina serves as an Advisory Council Member of the Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) and as a member of the Professional Advisory Board of American Sentinel College of Nursing and Health Science at Post University. She is also a distinguished member of the University of Phoenix National Society of Leadership and Success. Though she is not a nurse, Tina is a nurse champion. She has tremendous passion for ensuring that the contributions, potential, and value of nursing are recognized and acknowledged.
