The College of Health Professions at WGU offers affordable, respected, industry-relevant bachelor’s and master’s degrees designed with input from distinguished academic and industry leaders. We are also proud to offer a RN-to-BSN Co-Enrollment pathway for associate degree nursing students.
Mastery of material at WGU is not measured by seat time as at other universities. Competency-based learning means that once students prove proficiency, they can move on to the next course as they follow a personalized learning plan. For 25 years, WGU has implemented competency-based education, a standard that CCNE will soon require of nursing programs.
Tuition at WGU is charged at a flat rate once per six-month term, regardless of the number of courses students complete. Federal financial aid and scholarships are available to qualified students. This affordable flat-rate tuition allows many students to graduate with little or no new student debt.
While students will do their coursework and even take exams online, they won’t be alone. From enrollment through graduation, they’ll have regular, one-to-one support from instructional and program mentoring faculty.
The College of Health Professions is proud to be designated as a Center of Excellence in Nursing Education by the National League for Nursing (NLN). The nursing programs at WGU hold accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and WGU holds regional accreditation from the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities.
