My name is Lisa Connors, and I have been a practicing Bachelor’s educated nurse for twenty-five years, a neonatal nurse for nineteen of those years. My passion has always been in supporting holistic patient care and specifically in educating and nurturing our families through the crisis of have a critically ill infant in the NICU. I have led numerous patient education initiatives, helping to establish classes for our NICU families,
participating in a unit-wide safe sleep improvement initiative, and for a time was leader of our Patient and Family Experience committee. I made the transition to Lactation nursing and obtained my IBCLC over three years ago, and all of my bedside experience helps me to bring optimal awareness and support to our families.
