Assistant Professor Pediatric Nephrology

Delphine Nelson is an assistant professor of pediatric nephrology at Children's hospital of Richmond at VCU. She has completed her medical traning at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore MD and subsequently worked as a nephrologist at Ann & Robert H Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago before moving to Richmond in 2021. She completed a Masters in Clinical Epidemiology at the Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore MD and a Masters in Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety at Northwestern University. She has a particular research interest critical care nephrology which comprises detection, prevention and management of neonatal and pediatric acute kidney injury.
