Kathryn (Katie) Farrell, MSN, RN is a Professional Practice Advisor at Penn Medicine- Pennsylvania Hospital. She has an extensive background working in quality, safety and performance improvemen and is Six Sigma Green belt certified. In her current role at Penn Medicine, she has developed and led many quality improvement initiatives related to patient safety, patient satisfaction and staff engagement. She has published and presented at many national and local conferences on these topics. Katie graduated from Georgetown University with her BSN and the University of Pennsylvania with an MSN in Health Leadership and Teaching certificate, and is currently pursuing an EdD in Nursing Education at Drexel University. Her clinical background includes hematology/oncology and the post anesthesia care unit at New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center in NYC and at Penn Medicine in Philadelphia.
