Robin Lawson, DNP, CRNP, ACNP-BC, NP-C, FAANP is a Professor at the University of Alabama (UA). She is an expert in the design, implementation, and evaluation of nursing curricula and has created several successful nurse practitioner (NP) programs. Dr. Lawson maintains currency in clinical practice at the UA Student Health Center. Professional organizations have recognized Dr. Lawson for her service, leadership, and practice. Such recognitions include the American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP) State Award for Excellence in NP Clinical Practice for Alabama, the Nurse Practitioner Alliance of Alabama (NPAA) Outstanding NP award, and the NPAA Leadership and Dedication to Advanced Practice Nursing award. Dr. Lawson is the Immediate Past President of NPAA and serves on the Alabama Board of Nursing Advanced Practice NP Advisory Council. In 2018, She was inducted as a Fellow of AANP for her outstanding contributions to NP education and clinical practice. She currently serves as the AANP State Representative for Alabama.
