Dr Elizabeth Jeanson has been a practicing neonatal physical therapist and developmental specialist for the past 25 years, currently in practice at Sanford Childrens Hospital. During her career she has become a certified neonatal therapist, completed in neonatal touch and massage certification, and earned the NANN developmental specialist designation. Elizabeth was an inaugural member of the neonatal therapy certification board. In her current role as developmental specialist in a 62 bed Level 4 neonatal intensive care unit, Elizabeth provides direct patient care, updates and implements the neuroprotective developmental care protocols, provides staff, patient and community education on neuroprotective developmental care as well as serves as the neonatal therapy quality improvement coordinator. Elizabeth has presented nationally at the National Association of Neonatal Therapists, the National Association of Neonatal Nurses, Dr Brown’s webinars and Synova nurse leadership webinars and most recently, Dandlelion webinars. Elizabeth’s passion is the pursuit of excellent in neonatal therapy care and its impact on infant outcome it creates.
