For over two decades, Dr. Lisa Mason DNP, MBA, MHA, RN, NEA-BC has worked to master her craft in the field of nursing, education and leadership. With several years as a intensive care and nurse educator under her belt, she moved into leadership to inspire, grow and mentor nurses in practice at the bedside. Dr. Mason has provided clinical, quality and operational direction in the inpatient and ambulatory arena for over 14 years, and currently serves as nurse executive, scientist and entrepreneur. Notably, Dr. Mason was named as one of the DFW Great 100 Nurses in January 2021.
Dr. Mason received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas in 1997. In 2004, she completed a dual Master of Healthcare Administration/Master of Business Administration from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas. In 2018, Dr. Mason received a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Executive Leadership from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas. Her doctoral research in education, as it relates to nursing discipline and remediation, was in response to the growing need for supportive solutions that promote the growth of nursing practice and stabilization of the nursing workforce. Lisa remains actively engaged in women’s and children’s advocacy by serving as a NICU Verification Surveyor for the American Academy of Pediatrics and a March For Babies Executive Leadership Team member in her community. Additionally, she is a member delegate of the North Central Texas Trauma Regional Advisory Council Perinatal Committee in her region.
