I am the unit based Neonatal Intensive Care Educator (Clinical Nurse V) since 2018 .My role concentrates in providing support and enhancing professional development to our neonatal nurses. I assist and maintain unit based competencies,provide education on neonatal skills and procedures as well as organize seminars and presentation on NICU related topics.I facilitate in NICU nursing staff development specifically on clinical ladder projects and unit based quality improvement initiatives.I conduct and manage the use of technology, latest equipment and promote clinical and evidence based research to implement and enhance quality and patient care safety. I have over 30 years of Neonatal Intensive Care experience and an expert resource on nasal bubble CPAP.I provide care for high risk neonates and infants and with complex and complicated courses of carein the NICU.I am a clinical expert in neonatal respiratory care and strategies. I am certified in Neonatal Inensive Care by NCC, an NRP instructor and BCLS certified. I have presented posters at local and national conferences and have lead and co-lead quality improvement projects in the NICU.
