Dr. Meredith Shaw, DNP, NNP-BC developed a love for neonatal nursing with her first job as a NICU nurse at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. She received her Master’s in Nursing as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner through East Carolina University, and she obtained her Doctorate of Nursing Practice through Radford University in April 2021. Since 2013, she has worked as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA. Meredith's clinical interests include: delivery room management, neonatal cardiology, and clinical education. Her current research is focused on quality improvement in standardizing pre-delivery communication with the clinical neonatal team.
